AI Video Generation Platform Higgsfield Seeks to Disrupt the Marketing and Film Industries
Higgsfield, an AI video generation startup, is illustrating how deeply embedded AI is becoming in content creation for the marketing and entertainment industries. The company has a valuation of $5.4 billion after raising $400 million in its latest Series B funding round in August 2026.
Launched in 2025 by a former Snap executive, Higgsfield has experienced explosive growth. While the platform initially gained traction with individual content creators, today the company’s growth is largely propelled by business customers. Corporate marketing clients are driving revenue growth, with some marketing departments relying on Higgsfield to create multiple videos per day.
Higgsfield’s clients include a number of Fortune 500 companies using the platform to enhance their digital advertising capabilities. For example, Dollar Shave Club is using Higgsfield to create multiple marketing videos per day. The ability to quickly produce new video content is helping many corporate clients reduce their overall marketing spending and become less dependent on advertising agencies.
The film industry is grappling with the reality that AI-generated movies may soon become mainstream. Higgsfield produced an AI-generated movie called “Hell Grind” that was featured at Cannes Film Festival. The 95-minute science fiction movie took Higgsfield just two weeks to produce and required a $500,000 budget. Another film produced by the company, called “The Cully Hill Boys”, took the company just four weeks to make and required a $2 million budget.
Even compared with many rapidly growing AI companies, Higgsfield has grown its revenues and user base exceptionally fast. Higgsfield’s valuation was $1.3 billion in January 2026 after its Series A funding round raised $80 million. In other words, the company’s valuation quadrupled in just 8 months. Investors in Higgsfield’s latest August 2026 Series B round include Goldman Sachs, Intel Capital, and DST Global.
While the U.S. remains its largest market, Higgsfield has over 30 million users around the world. The company reported that it reached $700 million in annualized revenue in August 2026. A significant source of the company’s revenue comes from corporate subscriptions.
Higgsfield’s co-founder and CEO, Alex Mashrabov, was previously the Head of Generative AI at Snap. While many of the features he helped create at the social media company were mainly used by teenagers to chat with their friends, the experience has been insightful in producing AI tools for content creators and global businesses.
“Every business needs visual content, but creating it at the quality, speed and scale companies demand remains complex and expensive. AI is fundamentally changing that,” stated CEO Alex Mashrabov. “The next wave of value will be created by the applications that put this technology to work, and Higgsfield is leading that shift in visual media. We’re building the platform businesses use to create high-quality content faster and more efficiently, positioning Higgsfield at the center of a multi-trillion-dollar global market.”
The company is focused on continuing its global expansion and investing in research and development. In addition to business growth, the company launched Higgsfield Academy to
provide free training programs about AI video generation technology. It is part of Higgsfield’s efforts to narrow the AI skills gap and empower more people with creative ideas to be able to leverage AI technology for creating visual content.
