Organic Baby Food Company Backed by Jennifer Garner Makes Public Debut

Once Upon a Farm, a nutritional baby food company, raised nearly $200 million in its February 2026 initial public offering (IPO). Backed by Hollywood actress Jennifer Garner, Once Upon a Farm seeks to revolutionize the childhood nutrition category by providing farm-fresh baby food and snacks for busy families.

The organic kids’ nutrition company was founded more than a decade ago by Cassandra Curtis. Ms. Curtis started by creating recipes in her own kitchen for her children after growing unsatisfied with the subpar quality of brands at the grocery store. Jennifer Garner and food industry veteran John Foraker eventually joined Ms. Curtis to help scale the business. The current CEO is Mr. Foraker, while Ms. Curtis serves as Chief Innovation Officer. Ms. Garner serves as a director on the company’s board.

The company’s product offerings include cold-pressed pouches, refrigerated oat bars, dry baby snacks, and freshly frozen meals. Once Upon a Farm’s refrigerated pouches, their signature product, accounts for the largest percentage of the company’s sales. For the 2025 fiscal year, 62% of net sales were generated from cold-pressed pouches, while 37% were generated from snacks and 1% from other items.

The increased emphasis on making healthier dietary choices in the United States has been a positive development for Once Upon a Farm. Customers are more focused than ever on carefully reviewing nutritional labels. They are especially interested in eating less processed foods and avoiding artificial ingredients. Data shows that expecting parents and parents of infants are particularly likely to purchase fresh, organic products.

“With these tailwinds and consumer trends being in the right spot, we’re really trying to take advantage of that and deliver more for consumers,” stated the CEO John Foraker.

The organic baby food and snack maker has experienced remarkable growth. For the 2025 fiscal year, Once Upon a Farm surpassed $349 million of in-store retail sales. The company has established relationships with top retailers and e-commerce platforms. Its products are sold at well-known stores such as Walmart, Target, Whole Foods, Wegmans, Kroger, Amazon, and Instacart.

Once Upon a Farm is now publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) under the ticker symbol “OFRM.” It operates as a public benefit corporation (PBC), balancing the generation of shareholder returns with social impact. The company is headquartered in Berkeley, California.

The company has entered into a spokesperson agreement with Jennifer Garner, which entitles her to stock option grants and cash compensation worth millions of dollars for promoting the brand. Ms. Garner is famous for her roles in movies such as Pearl Harbor and 13 Going on 30.

While Once Upon a Farm has been successfully gaining traction and improving brand recognition, it faces competition from larger incumbent players in the food industry. These companies, such as Nestle, Mondelez International, and General Mills, are also tailoring their product offerings to meet the demands of increasingly health-conscious customers. However,

Once Upon a Farm believes it has a number of advantages including brand loyalty and a difficult to replicate supply chain strategy.
