Preventative Health Company Prenuvo Promotes Full-Body MRI Screenings

The healthcare startup Prenuvo is on a mission to encourage individuals to take a proactive approach to their health. The company’s whole-body MRI scans are designed to detect early signs of health problems in an efficient and non-invasive manner.

Founded by entrepreneur Andrew Lacy and radiologist Dr. Raj Attariwala in 2018, Prenuvo provides a seamless patient experience. The company offers advanced MRI screenings that take less than 1 hour and do not expose patients to harmful ionizing radiation. Prenuvo’s technology can detect hundreds of conditions. The scans are analyzed by a radiologist.

A fully-body MRI scan costs $2,500 while a torso scan costs $1,000. The company also offers an enhanced screening option for $4,500, which includes a whole-body MRI scan, blood tests, a brain health assessment and a body composition analysis. The AI-powered body composition report, which provides insights on muscle, organ, and fat volume, has received clearance from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). While insurance does not currently cover the cost of Prenuvo’s screenings, patients can use funds in health savings accounts (HSA) and flexible spending accounts (FSA) to cover the cost.

Prenuvo currently has more than 20 clinics in the United States and Canada, and plans to open at least 10 new locations in the near future. Outside of North America, Prenuvo has plans to open locations in the UAE, Singapore, Sweden, and Switzerland. In 2024, the company generated over $100 million in revenue.

“Prenuvo is leading a movement to make proactive healthcare accessible and transformative for everyone,” stated founder and CEO Andrew Lacy. “We’re introducing a new approach to early detection that empowers individuals to take control of their health before symptoms emerge.”

In February 2025, Prenuvo announced that it had raised $120 million in a Series B financing round. The Series B funding round was led by the venture capital firms Left Lane Capital and Forerunner Ventures. Previously, the company raised $70 million in a Series A financing round in 2022 led by Felicis Ventures. Since its inception, Prenuvo has been backed by leading investors such as the former CEO of 23AndMe Anne Wojcicki, former CEO of Google Eric Schmidt, and Casamigos Tequila co-founder Rande Gerber.

In May 2025, Prenuvo hired the former CFO of Peloton, Jill Woodworth, as the company’s new CFO. “What drew me to Prenuvo is the same thing that drew me to Peloton years ago, the opportunity to change lives at scale. After experiencing a scan myself, I realized how powerful it is to truly see what’s happening inside your body,” stated Jill Woodworth. “I believe Prenuvo and proactive healthcare can become as ubiquitous and essential as fitness and wellness movements have become in the past decade.”

The company has performed over 150,000 scans and helped a number of people detect conditions in earlier stages. Examples of conditions that Prenuvo’s elective scans have helped patients discover include brain aneurysms, auto-immune disorders, early-stage cancers, and spinal degeneration. Prenuvo touts that 1 in 20 scans result in a life-saving diagnosis. A number of celebrities have promoted Prenuvo’s screenings including Kim Kardashian and Paris Hilton.
